Skin Health PHILOSOPHY
Skin Health for Life™ is not just improving your appearance, but actually restoring youthful, healthy skin. Skin Health is a lifestyle, requiring maintenance and the right treatment for every skin type. That treatment is HydraFacial™
The HydraFacial™ treatment merges soothing and invigorating spa therapies with advanced medical technology to achieve instant, lasting results.
The HydraFacial™ treatment is a similar concept to microdermabrasion. However no crystals are used to assist in the exfoliation process, but instead a specially shaped spiral tip exfoliates and removes impurities along with delivering pneumatically applied serums that cleanse, hydrate and provide antioxidant infusion during the treatment process.
Hydrafacial™ is indicated for the improvement in the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, congested and enlarged pores (e.g., blackheads), oily or acne-prone skin and hyperpigmentation (i.e. dark areas of the skin, such as brown age spots). The procedure is used in combination with chemical peels, some skincare products, LED lights and different types of tips if a more aggressive treatment is needed. Hydrafacial™…a hydradermabrasion, takes its name from the word ‘hydrate’ meaning to ‘cause to take up moisture’. This ability to actively moisturize the skin during the treatment process sets it apart from all other skin resurfacing procedures available, such as microdermabrasion, chemical peeling and laser/IPL treatments.
The HydraFacial™ METHOD
EXPERIENCE Vortex-Fusion® Each treatment uses a series of patented HydroPeel™ tip. Each one has multiple abrasive edges to exfoliate the skin several times with each pass, achieving better, more even results.
The unique spiral design creates a vortex effect to easily dislodge and remove impurities while simultaneously introducing hydrating skin solutions and potent antioxidants.
The proprietary serums delivered within the Hydrafacial treatment are delivered direct to the skin’s surface via the Hydropeel™ Tip. These include activ-4™ which contains glucosamine and lactic acid, as well as active botanicals for cleansing and hydrating all skin types, beta-hd™ which contains salicylic acid for cleansing and hydrating oily and acne prone skin and antiox-6™ an antioxidant treatment serum for all skin types containing hyaluronic acid, vitamins A and E and white tea extract designed to combat the damage created by free radicals within the environment, and deeply moisturize the skin.
Summary of advice for Hydrafacial™
The popularity of microdermabrasion as a long term treatment program for maintaining a healthy glow to the skin to reduce the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles and sun damage is well established, along with its versatility as a one-off, special occasion treatment when you want to look your best for a wedding etc.
With the introduction of Hydrafacial™ many are seeing this as the next generation of minimally invasive skin resurfacing which moves on from traditional microdermabrasion by offering a painless treatment with less post treatment redness, along with the pneumatic application of antioxidants directly to the skin during treatment, rather than by topical application post-abrasion.
What is HydraFacial™?
The HydraFacial™ treatment is a new breakthrough in aesthetic technology. It takes its name from the root word Hydrate; “to cause to take up moisture”. This ability to moisturize the skin separates the HydraFacial™ from all other skin resurfacing procedures. The HydraFacial™ treatment removes dead skin cells and extracts impurities while simultaneously bathing the new skin with cleansing, hydrating and moisturizing serums. The treatment is soothing, refreshing, non-irritating and immediately effective.
What results can I expect?
The HydraFacial™ treatment visibly reduces fine lines and wrinkles, improves skin tone and texture and diminishes brown spots and other hyperpigmentation. HydraFacial™ is beneficial to the overall health and appearance of your skin. HydraFacial® also improves acne-prone skin.
Is there any “downtime” with a HydraFacial™ treatment?
HydraFacial™ is not only painless; it is a soothing and relaxing treatment. Since HydraFacial™ is non-invasive there is no downtime. As soon as your HydraFacial™ treatment is complete you can apply your makeup and continue on with your day as usual! If not needed, wait until the next morning.
What results may be expected? How many treatments are needed to see results? How long do the results last?
Many people report seeing visible skin refinement and an even, radiant skin tone after just one treatment. The smooth results and hydration may last 5 to 7 days or even longer. A series of 6 treatments are recommended for improving the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, hyperpigmentation, acne and oily skin. Continued HydraFacial™ treatments are highly recommended to maintain results. After your first series of treatments, you may want to maintain your results with a HydraFacial™ treatment every 1-3 months.
