As you may remember, we surveyed our email list in the past several weeks. First and foremost, I want to thank all of you who took the time and responded to our queries. We always have excellent response rates to our surveys and these opinions definitely help guide my decisions concerning offerings and improvements at Maine Laser Skin Care.
On the question of new laser treatments for toenail fungus, slightly more than 44% of respondents showed some level of interest in this service. I will be meeting shortly again with this provider who is the only doctor in northern New England performing this Pinpointe FootLaser procedure.
He will be making a site visit to our new office at the Lee Farm Mall in Augusta soon. I will certainly keep all of you up-to-date if we start providing this service which has been showing excellent results to sufferers of stubborn toenail fungus.
On the topic of Novalash eyelash extensions, 41% of respondents also showed some level of interest. This is particularly notable in that this is certainly a niche area of aesthetics. This service will also be valuable to those who cannot use Latisse. The provider of this service has met with me personally, and we are verifying her references as we speak.
Of additional interest is that this provider is also becoming certified in permanent makeup and is trained in the Microtap technique. Stay tuned for news on this service offering as well.
In contrast to these areas above, only 9% of respondents were interested in tattoo removal. Maybe that is an indication of the demographics of our email list.
We do continue to receive multiple phone contacts per week asking if we offer this laser service. However, considering this survey, I will keep tattoo removal on the back burner.
Medical weight loss received a very large positive response with 60% interest. 50% of respondents also considered insurance coverage as important or extremely important.
Implementing a medical weight loss program is obviously a much bigger undertaking, but I am still actively considering and researching it. I will be attending a national wellness and anti-aging conference at the end of April with a large focus on diet and weight loss. I will have more information and impetus to set up such a program when I return.
In response to the open ended question of “How do you like the new location and office space?”, we received overwhelming support. The most common response seen many times over was “Love it!”.
These supportive comments are extremely gratifying, as the development of this space took longer and became more expense than initially anticipated. Kudos to my office manager, Karen Wheeler, whose energy and good taste contributed to the new office’s overall ambiance.
Finally, we received many suggestions about services to add in the future. I will continue to explore all of those items mentioned individually. My vision is that Maine Laser Skin Care will become a true medi-spa offering many medical aesthetic services safely in a spa-like atmosphere helping you to feel and look better and younger.
Thank you again for all of your help on this survey. More news to come, and this is an exciting time with spring weather on the horizon.
