Interested In A Younger Face? Vampire Facelift Is The Answer

vampire_facelift_baIt has now been a full year since I have trained with Charles Runels M.D., the inventor of the Vampire (or Platelet-Rich Plasma) line of procedures.  Since completing that training, I have performed about one hundred Vampire procedures, including Vampire Facelifts and Hair Regrowths.

Research is ongoing on the platelet-rich plasma (PRP) effects on the human body through Dr. Runels and the American Cosmetic Cellular Association, of which I am a member. The benefits of these procedures continues to be seen beyond the one year mark, and PRP is being used in more areas of the body besides the face and head.

I continue to distribute Dr. Runels’ book on the subject and field questions on this topic virtually every day.  For this blog post, I thought I would address the most common questions for those who are not aware of this line of procedures.  I will also focus exclusively on the Vampire Facelift, since all the Vampire procedures may take a while to detail thoroughly:

What is the Vampire Facelift?

vampire_facelift_bannerThis procedure combines the science of hyaluronic acid fillers (Juvederm), your own platelet-rich plasma, and my artistic eye to deliver to you a natural and youthful effect that is unique to you.  Believe it or not, my training and practice also uses the mathematics of facial beauty developed by Leonardo da Vinci to design a younger but natural shape to your face.  The goal is to have your face look as good as it looked 5 or 10 years ago.

How does the Vampire Facelift work?

vampire_procedureThis procedure begins with the application of a numbing cream to your face and a withdrawal of one test tube of blood from your arm. Using a proprietary tube and centrifuge approved by the FDA, platelet-rich plasma is isolated, which takes about 20 minutes.

After isolating the PRP, I will use the Juvederm filler to add a natural smoothing effect to your deepest lines based on your facial structure.  Then, I will inject the PRP isolated into the areas of your face where you appear to need it the most.  This combination of injections will stimulate your body’s own healing process to grow new collagen and increase blood flow to the treated areas.

What are the benefits of the Vampire Facelift?

vampire_sculptingThis procedure is non-surgical, drug-free and utilizes the power of your own body to repair itself.  You will see refreshed skin color due to new blood vessel formation and increased skin circulation.

As collagen levels increase over the next several weeks and months, you will note a more youthful appearance with smoother skin tone and an overall lifting effect. Recovery is quick with minimal swelling immediately after the procedure.  I went out to dinner right I had my procedure done without any concern or embarrassment.

Who is a candidate for the Vampire Facelift?

Almost anyone.  The only exclusions would be an active infection of the skin of the face and/or the use of the stronger blood thinning agents that might result in excessive bruising.

I hope that this FAQ format answers many of your questions, but if you have any specific questions or general interest in this line of my work, please feel free to give us a call at (207) 873-2158.  We can also give or send you a copy of Dr Runels’ book, which explains the science and aesthetics of the development of the Vampire Facelift in more detail, absolutely free.
