The Vampire Just Keeps Getting Stronger

vampire_sculptingEver since Vampire procedures first became developed, and most especially since I became approved to perform them by the creator of these procedures himself, Dr. Charles Runels, himself, I continue to pour over research about them, and I routinely come across some interesting articles.  Some of these articles are in established journals, and others are blog posts by non-professionals with a passing familiarity with the Vampire procedures.

Yesterday, one particular post came to my attention.  Since reading the following post, I thought it may be helpful to explain what the press sometimes gets wrong about the Vampire procedures.  Specifically, I want to shed some light on what the media confuses with regards to what we, as licensed Vampire treatment specialists, do with your blood after we extract it from you.

kardashian_vampire_facialIf you notice in this picture here, Kim Kardashian is shown with blood on her face, and the picture is labeled as a “Vampire Facelift®.”  That caption is actually wrong . . . but close.

The Vampire Facelift® procedure involves using an hyaluronic acid filler (like Juvederm) to sculpt the face to a younger, more natural state, followed by fine tuning the sculpture and improving color and texture with platelet-rich plasma (PRP).  You can see details about the V. FaceLIFT here.

The Vampire Facial® procedure (remember, not the Facelift) involves using microneedling to create a tighter complexion followed by infusing blood-derived growth factors into the tiny holes. This creates an amazing improvement in color and texture, but does not do much for shape.  You can see more about the V. FACIAL here.

So, even though the article on “theRichest” website says that Kim Kardashian had a Vampire Facelift, what she really had was a Vampire Facial.  It is very important to know the difference between the two.

Which one would be best for you?  Maybe both?  Maybe neither one! Here’s how to know . . .

If you’ve lost volume within your face (i.e. the skin on your face is sagging), then you would do best with the Vampire Facelift procedure.  If your shape is optimal, either because you are still young or because we’ve already corrected the shape of your face using fillers, then the Vampire Facial would be best.

Kim Kardashian was young and pregnant with lots of estrogen and no volume loss when she had the procedure done.  Because of these factors, she appropriately received the Vampire Facial.

Please feel free to call our office at (207) 873-2158 with any questions you may have.  We will be eager to talk with you about these procedures and others based on what is best for your face.
